NEWMAN PRINT HONORS LOCAL SPONSORS FOR NICKEUS PARK GRAND REOPENING

The wait is officially over! Yesterday evening, the Jamestown community gathered at Nickeus Park to celebrate a massive milestone: the official grand reopening of its highly anticipated, $1.6 million all-abilities recreational space

From 5:00 to 7:00 PM, local families, city officials, and community advocates filled the park to cut the ribbon on a vision that has been years in the making. The redesigned Nickeus Park is now a truly inclusive destination where children and families of all physical, social and emotional abilities can gather, play, and connect side-by-side.

Bringing a project of this scale to life requires an incredible amount of community coordination and generous donor backing. Because recognizing those contributions is so vital, Newman Print stepped up to ensure every single sponsor and donor who helped fund this dream is beautifully and permanently recognized across the park.

Bringing Clarity and Recognition to the Remodel

When you walk through the newly updated park, you will immediately notice the pristine, professional donor and sponsor signs throughout the remodeled spaces. Newman Print proudly designed and manufactured the signage for all the major upgrades across the grounds, helping the Jamestown Parks and Recreation District honor the community hands that built it.

Here are the key areas where Newman Print's work shines:

  • The All-Abilities Playground: This new playground accommodates up to 260 children, featuring 71 inclusive play elements. Newman Print's custom signage clearly highlights the visionary sponsors who made this accessible place space a reality.
  • Dave Smette Memorial Plaza: A beautiful, upgraded gathering space dedicated to a beloved community figure. The lettering signage tells the story of dedication and legacy that anchors this area of the park.
  • The Covered Picnic Table Area: The new fabric picnic shelter is a perfect hub for family gatherings and events. The signs here recognize the local businesses and families whose donations purchased the accessible picnic seating and structures.

Next time you head down to Nickeus Park to check out the new playground, pack a lunch for the picnic area, or relax at the Dave Smette Memorial Plaza, take a moment to look at the signs. They are an important reminder of what Jamestown can accomplish when we all work together. Newman Print is exceptionally honored to have given those generous supporters the recognition they deserve.
